Trade Works for America Applauds Mexico’s Ratification of the USMCA

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Trade Works for America co-chairs former Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) and Phil Cox today issued the following statement applauding Mexico for ratifying the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA):

“With today’s ratification in Mexico, the USMCA is well on its way to ratification across the continent. Mexico is a key market for our businesses to sell their ‘Made in America’ goods, and expanding upon that access through the USMCA is key to continued economic success. More than 12 million U.S. jobs rely on trade with our North American neighbors, and the USMCA will create an additional 176,000 jobs while also strengthening our economy. We urge members of Congress and the Trump administration to join Mexico by working together to ratify quickly this critical agreement for American workers.”
